I have been planning this for some time and now is the time. I am making plans on competing in 2003 in one of the Muscle Mania events. My goal is to completely rock the natural bodybuilding world with size in 2003. So for all of 2002 and half of 2003 all I will be doing is muscle building. No cardio, no dieting only building.

Derek Charlebois

After I showed my pictures to some friends, who are into bodybuilding and powerlifting, they told me I was ready to compete. They also greatly boosted my confidence with their comments. Because of their support, I decided to enter the Northern Bodybuilding Classic and Xtreme Fit competition. This is a natural contest, sanctioned by the N.A.N.B.F. Curtis Dennis Jr.

Since 1997, I've competed in eight powerlifting competitions and placed first in five of them. I still compete today even though I've dropped body fat just to have the look of a bodybuilder, I'm stronger now at 220 than I ever was at 246. My bench is currently 350 for a double, 545 squat (not deep), and 540 deadlift. I'm hoping to compete in the nationals this year and really compete with the best!
